LFV (Luftfartsverket)
The LFV Group consist of the State enterprise (Luftfartsverket) and its subsidiaries and associated companies. LFV operates 16 airports and is responsible for air navigation services in Sweden.During 2007 LFV Airports handled approximately 34 million passengers, of these 14 million travelled on domestic flights and 20 million on international.
Domestic air travel in Sweden has remained relatively unchanged since the beginning of the 1990’s. The market is fully developed and with the expansion of better roads and rail connections there is less demand for air services on distances of 500 km and less.
LFV is organised into three different state enterprise divisions: Stockholm, Group Airports and Air Navigation Services.
Group Airports Division consist of the following airports: Göteborg Landvetter, Jönköping, Karlstad, Kiruna, Luleå, Malmö, Ronneby, Skellefteå, Sundsvall Härnösand, Umeå City, Visby, Ängelholm Helsingborg, Örnsköldsvik and Åre Östersund.
Air Navigation Services Division is responsible for air traffic control, briefing and telecommunications and weather information for civilian aviation. ANS operates two control centres as well as airport and tower approach services and terminal control centres in 37 places around the country.
Aside from the three divisions the LFV Group comprises of a number of internal service departments called LFV Support, LFV Teknik, LFV Data and Entry Point North.

The most important of which is:
Swedavia AB, a wholly owned subsidiary, whose role is to develop, produce and export aviation competence and represent the organisation in international commercial situations.
Other wholly owned subsidiaries include Flygplatsfastigheter i Landvetter AB and Arlanda Schiphol Development Company AB, which is 60% owned by LFV Holding and 40% by Schiphol International BV. Associated companies partly owned by the LFV Group are Nordic Airport Properties AB and Cityflygplatsen i Göteborg AB.
