TITAL® is a leading aluminum and titanium casting manufacturer.

Located in Bestwig, Germany the company was founded in 1974 as a joint venture of former Honsel AG and W.C. Heraeus Holding GmbH in order to manufacture aluminum and titanium investment casting products. In 2002, Heraeus became the sole shareholder of TITAL®. As of April 1st, 2006 TITAL® was taken over by the management team in a buy-out transaction supported by DZ Equity Partners GmbH.

In 1995, they obtained the patent for the HERO Premium Casting Process®, for high-strength aluminum investment casting parts. This patent is the basis of their sustainable success and played an important role in 2001 when TITAL® were qualified by Airbus as the world‘s only investment casting producer for the supply of critical components to Casting Factor 1.0 in accordance with FAR 25.621 and JAR 25.621.
