AVK, Industrievereinigung Verstärkte Kunststoffe e.V.

The AVK is the oldest quality assurance association of the plastics industry. It has been operating under this name since 2005 and originated from the 1998 merger between the Technische Vereinigung e. V. [Technical Association] - founded in 1924 - and the Arbeitsgemeinschaft Verstärkte Kunststoffe e. V. [Federation of Reinforced Plastics] - founded in 1959.

The AVK - Industrievereinigung Verstärkte Kunststoffe e. V. [Federation of Reinforced Plastics] represents the interests of producers and processors of reinforced and filled plastics, engineering thermosets, and their raw materials suppliers and service providers on a national and a European level.

The AVK represents raw materials producers and suppliers as well as processors of reinforced and filled plastics and engineering thermosets. Besides, the list of AVK members also includes mechanical engineers, engineering offices, government-approved test centres, and scientific institutes.
Members range from small and medium-sized companies to (multinational) corporations.
Basically, any company and any institute may apply for AVK membership as long as it is concerned with reinforced and filled plastics, is interested in joining relevant panels/task forces, and would like to use the service offered in this context.
