Gebecoma
The aims of the Association can be summarised as follows: • Regroup, if possible, in one Belgian Federal Association of industries ALL the Belgian High Tech Aerospace and Defence industries without interferring with the existing regional associations.
• Represent actively the belgian industries interests in ASD
• Represent its members in federal or international matters that call for joint action.
• Perform concerted studies of topics which might affect the development of the aerospace industry.
• Establish guidelines for its members.
Services provided:
- Quality control
Nondestructive Control Certification Commission aiming at improving the quality of the production. (certification through control).
- Statistics
Compilation and updates of statistical figures related to the aerospace sector.
- Standardisation
A standardisation commission participated at European level in the definition and the harmonisation of aerospace standards. Gebecoma had taken the nesecary steps to make EN 9100 certification possible in Belgium for the belgian industries. But, due to practical an principel problems this initiative was aborted.
- Electronic data
An Electronic data interchange commission aims at achieving standards in the field of information and exchange of data by electronic means, within the aerospace industry.
- Airshows
The association coordinates the participation of its members at international aerospace exhibitions such as Le Bourget, Farnborough, Berlin, Dubai, Singapore...
