Liverpool gets new passenger lounge, AOA

Liverpool''s John Lennon Airport has opened a new lounge for travellers, which includes a number of free services.

The new facility will give all passengers, regardless of the class they are flying in, access to complimentary newspapers, wireless internet access, free drinks and televisions.

Servisair''s 200 sq m Halewood lounge will be open from 04:30 to 20:30 GMT each day, with leather seating for up to 50 passengers.

Vic Broderick, commercial director of the Peel Airports Group, says: "Peel Airports Group is delighted to be able to offers passengers the opportunity to use the fantastic new Servisair lounge, which will further enhance the travel experience of flying from Liverpool John Lennon airport."

The facility is likely to be used frequently, as the airport recently revealed it was expecting the Easter weekend to be the busiest of the year so far.

Bosses predicted between 55,000 and 60,000 people would descend on the hub to fly to popular destinations, such as Spain, the Balerics, Rome and Paris.
