Over 16 flights a daybetween Switzerland and France, AirFrance-KLM

Release Date: 2009-05-12

In May 1939 Air France launched a non-stop service between Paris and Zurich, operated in a Bloch 220, a twin-engined propeller-driven aircraft.

70 years later Air France has six flights a day in both directions between Paris and Zurich. The flights are operated by Air France’s subsidiary, Cityjet, in Avro RJ85 aircraft with seating for 95 passengers. Between Paris and Geneva, Air France operates over ten daily flights in the Airbus A320 family of aircraft.

In all for the 2009 summer schedule, there are over 16 flights a day linking Switzerland to the rest of the world and via Amsterdam-Schiphol, KLM’s hub, there are even more services by connecting through Geneva 6 times a day.

The Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam-Schiphol hubs are at the core of the Air France and KLM dual network. Together, the hubs offer passengers nearly 30,000 weekly connecting opportunities in under two hours.

At Paris-Charles de Gaulle, the flight schedule is organized around six connecting banks of arrivals and departures throughout the day allowing for a maximum number of connecting opportunities in the shortest possible time.
