Release Date: 2009-05-11
London Gatwick Airport is putting on an additional flight to Guernsey, it has been revealed.
The travel hub will run extra weekday afternoon travel to the island from June 29th as part of a revamped summer service.
Those wishing to make this trip will be able to do so for £29.99 one way, including taxes and charges.
Flights will operate from Monday to Friday, with those interested able to book their place through Flybe.
Mike Rutter, chief commercial officer for the carrier, commented: "Historically, airline after airline have abandoned their services to the Channel Islands, but Flybe''s bucking that trend with this additional rotation."
He went on to say that the firm is "committed" to the region and it aims to offer the "perfect choice for leisure and business travellers alike".
Last week, Flybe unveiled its winter schedule, which included an expanded network of 480 flights from London Gatwick.
Aberdeen, the Isle of Man, Belfast and Inverness are among the destinations travellers can reach from the hub.
