Introduction of a new Customer Support Centre for DIEHL Aerospace and DIEHL Aircabin for the European market in Toulouse, Diehl Aerosystems
Release Date: 2009-09-28
Toulouse, 17.09.2009: Opening ceremony of a new Customer Support Centre (CSC) in Toulouse, France, for the two Diehl Aerosystems enterprises, Diehl Aerospace and Diehl Aircabin, took place on September 17, 2009. The new facility, second largest in the aviation industry, located near Toulouse airport, is targeted to meet the needs of clients from Europe and Africa as well as from the Middle East. Clients from other parts of the world dispose of similar facilities in Sterrett (USA) and Singapore.
The Toulouse CSC, replacing an older facility, offers standard services like overhaul and exchange and delivery of spare parts but also mass-scale maintenance contracts, account management and integrated services.
The offer covers all products of Diehl Aerospace - avionics, cockpit lighting, safety components – and those of Diehl Aircabin, manufacturer of cockpit components. Spare part servicing and delivery for Diehl Aerospace will be operated through the CSC in Toulouse. As from 2010, CSC will also overtake the function of a Customer Order Desk for the spare part service of Diehl Aircabin. Diehl Aircabin products will, due to the size of the spare parts, continue to be delivered from the company’s headquarters in Laupheim.
The new CSC has been certified by EASA, FAA and CAA, including the ISO EN 9100 certificate, thus giving the new facility a perfect start in the industry.
Dr. Gerardo Walle, Member of the Board of Diehl Aerosystems, said: "Opening of our new Customer Support Centre in Toulouse is a milestone in the expansion of our client service offer in avionics and cockpit product solutions. We will invest even more employees and resources in order to be able to provide excellent services for the needs of our clients".
Diehl Aerosystems is part of Diehl Stiftung & Co. KG that covers all the aviation activities of Diehl Group. Diehl Aerosystems, with Diehl Aerospace and Diehl Aircabin, joint ventures with Thales, a worldwide leader in avionics systems and cockpit solutions, currently employs more than 2,500 people and plans further expansion in its industry. Some of its clients are prominent aircraft manufacturers such as Airbus, Boeing, Eurocopter and Embraer.
