BOEING 787 first flight gives boost to aircraft cabin lighting products made by DIEHL, Diehl Aerosystems

The first flight of the Boeing 787 on December 15, 2009 also gives boost to the Nürnberg site of Diehl Aerospace, a company within the Diehl Corporate Division Aerosystems. The complete cabin lighting as well as associated electronic components for aircraft of this type are delivered from here to BoeingBoeing 787 is the world's first aircraft which is exclusively equipped with LED lighting. This technology replaces the conventional light tubes used before and allows completely new design options for cabin lighting, enhancing comfort and well-being of passengers, while heavily reducing maintenance costs.
