Contract for Ten EC155 B1s, Eurocopter

In October, 2008, Citic Offshore Helicopter (COHC) signed a contract forten EC155 B1s, which will be delivered from the end of 2009 onwards.

This order will boost COHC’s fleet of 21 Eurocopter helicopters, consisting of five AS365 Dauphins, five EC155 B and B1s, eight AS332 L1 Super Pumas, an EC135 P2 and two EC225s.

COHC is currently the biggest oil & gas operator in Asia, with an 80% share of the market in China alone. The fleet clocks up approximately 10,000 flight hours a year, primarily transporting
passengers to platforms for the major oil & gas companies and the China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC). COHC also performs search and rescue missions for the Chinese
Ministry of Communication.

Eurocopter and COHC have enjoyed a close and fruitful relationship for more than 20 years.

This relationship was strengthened in 2002 when Eurocopter acquired a stake in COHC Gamec, the Eurocopter-approved maintenance center in Shenzhen. This center performs organizational and intermediate level maintenance on the Dauphin and AS350 BA Ecureuil.
