Release Date: 2009-06-03

Passengers flying from Heathrow with bmibaby may be able to enjoy their pre-journey routine in a little more comfort thanks to a new facility.

The airline has opened an international lounge called bmi Number One Heathrow at the London travel hub.

Travellers using this can enjoy fine food from a selection of Mark Hix product, including his sumptuous ice cream.

A range of seating options and beds are also available, ensuring that passengers can relax in comfort before their flight.

Those jetting off on high-level business meetings also have a place to prepare, as The Study offers a boardroom environment with WiFi.

Meanwhile, those keen to sup a relaxing pint can do so in The Local.

In related news, later this week SkyTeam is set to launch the first ever co-brand alliance lounge at Heathrow.

The facility will be available for use from tomorrow (June 4th) and includes a wine bar and full-body massage chairs.
