Eastern Airways launches new flight, AOA

Release Date: 2009-06-05

Eastern Airways is launching a new flight which will enable passengers to quickly get from one end of the country to the other.

A service from Southampton International Airport to Newcastle will begin next month, while the existing early morning route will have a new time.

From July 6th, passengers will be able to op on a plane from Southampton to the northern travel hub at 7am and 4.05pm each day, with journeys taking around one hour and 20 minutes.

Chris Holliday, chief operating officer for Eastern Airways, commented that the altered earlier departure for the 7am flight means that travellers can "maximise their time" in the north east.

He added: "We''ve responded to business traveller requirements as it was evident there was a gap in the market for early morning departures from Southampton to Newcastle."

In other news, earlier this week Jet2.com unveiled flights from Belfast International Airport to Newquay.
