Release Date: 2009-07-03

Business flyers using Coventry Airport can take advantage of a new deal which offers free ground handling when its new executive jet centre opens later this month.

The centre is set to open its doors on July 23rd when the lord mayor of Coventry Councillor Jack Harrison will cut the ribbon.

Coventry Airport director Brian Cox said: "We are extremely proud of our new jet centre and want both existing and potential business aviation customers to come and experience the new facility, which is why we are offering free ground handling throughout the month of July."

He added that the airport has many advantages for the executive traveller, with its central location, ease of access and good customer service and is also extremely flexible because it has no slot restrictions.

Coventry Airport has recently been put up for sale and Mr Cox said there has been a lot of interest in the facility.
