Leeds Bradford airport completes improvement project, AOA
Release Date: 2009-07-17
Leeds Bradford International Airport (LBIA) has completed a multi-million pound redevelopment scheme which now means the facility has better car parking and a new frontage to its terminal building.
The work was completed in two separate phases which cost around £2 million and involved major improvements to the site.
The first phase of development saw access for the bus and airport shuttle service improved and a new drop off point created, as well as an improved taxi booking system.
Second-phase work focused on making the car parking facilities better and improving walkways for passengers.
Tony Hallwood, commercial and aviation development director at LBIA said: "We are delighted that development has been completed ahead of the busy summer season. Our aim is to offer customers modern facilities which allow them quick and easy access to and from the terminal."
LBIA has recently been connected to Glasgow thanks to a new route started by BMI.
