A budget carrier has unveiled its winter and Christmas travel schedule.

easyJet claimed that high levels of demand were behind the decision to bring forward its launch of its plans for Bristol International Airport during the colder months.

Among the routes included in the 2009/10 timetable are flights from the travel hub to Alicante, Palma and Inverness, with fares starting at £15.99 one-way, including tax.

The carrier has also handed out hints and tips to help passengers get the best deals on their trips.

According to the airline, booking early is advisable, while flexibility can also help knock some money off the final total of a flight.

Being able to travel mid-week, signing up for reward programmes and email notifications are also recommended by easyJet.

Earlier this week, the carrier revealed its passenger statistics for March, with its load factor rising by 1.7 per cent in the six months up until the end of the month.
