飞机场应该改善客运设施, AOA集团

Release Date: 2009-04-08

Airports and operators should be improving their levels of service for customers, according to one commentator.

Jonathan Mitcham, principal researcher at Which? Holiday magazine, says that the transport hubs should use existing facilities to improve dealings with travellers.

The commentator says that the recent scheme at Luton Airport, to create a no-queue lane at an extra charge to customers, should not be necessary.

"You are already paying for your flight ticket for airport services in the first place and so you are just paying a second charge to get a service you should have got in the first place," Mr Mitcham adds.

Airports should continue to improve services, rather than creating new facilities at extra cost.

The expert has recently welcomed moves from the government to ensure that the Civil Aviation Authority should put travellers'' interests first.

Suggestions from the government including putting passengers'' service and experiences first at Heathrow, Gatwick and Stansted.
