SESAR的工作计划, 欧洲空中交通管理计划

Release Date: 2010-06-03

The SESAR work programme today, 03 06 10, celebrates its first anniversary. Just one year after the technical kick-off, 240 of the 300 SESAR projects are launched, the first 100 have passed the preparatory initiation phase and commenced the actual research and development work. So far, 1,500 experts at the 16 members in 17 countries are working to develop the future ATM system.
"SESAR is not only complex from a technological but also from an organisational point of view. What we have done so far was perhaps the most difficult of all: making sure that all 300 projects were speaking the same language and were benchmarked on a sound basis. What is in front of us should be the most exciting part of work. It is nevertheless challenging, given we quickly need to deliver tangible results”, says Patrick Ky, Executive Director of the SESAR Joint Undertaking, to mark the work programme’s first anniversary.

In 2010, the focus is on achieving early benefits. Some of the priorities for the coming months are projects on information management, route-assignment and guidance as well as the airborne side of trajectory management. Additionally, with the continuation of AIRE, further cuts in aircraft emissions will be achieved. “Our goal is to validate new technology solutions and procedures close to operation. Consequently, our strategic objectives for 2012 all include concrete targets to be achieved in our projects”, adds Florian Guillermet, Chief Programme Officer of the SESAR Joint Undertaking.
