Finmeccanica and Trenitalia sign contract for High-Speed tender, 卡尼卡集团

Finmeccanica, through its subsidiary AnsaldoBreda, and Bombardier have signed the contract with Trenitalia to supply 50 High-Speed trains, worth a total of EUR 1,540 million. The signing took place this morning following the decision of the Lazio regional administrative court (TAR) rejecting the request to suspend the tender process lodged by a competitor.

On 5 August, Trenitalia announced that the contract had been awarded to the consortium formed by AnsaldoBreda and the Canadian firm Bombardier. AnsaldoBreda, which has a 60% stake in the consortium, will have a share of the contract worth around EUR 900 million.

AnsaldoBreda and Bombardier express their satisfaction with the decision taken by the TAR and, reaffirming the grounds that support their position, approach the upcoming stages of the process, and any additional phases, with confidence.
