BMI增加英苏航班, AOA集团
Release Date: 2009-06-30
BMI is to increase the number of flights between the north of England and Scotland''s two largest airports, in an attempt to help commuters achieve a full working day.
Twice daily flights will now connect Leeds-Bradford Airport with the airports of Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Peter Kenworthy, commercial director of BMI Regional, said: "The new schedule for our Scotland to Leeds-Bradford route and the increased capacity on flights out of Glasgow reflects our commitment to key business destinations within the UK."
Mr Kenworthy added that BMI was the UK''s most punctual airline and offered paperless boarding procedures, which allow boarding passes to be sent to a passenger''s mobile phone.
The airline also said there will be larger aircraft on flights between the airports which will increase capacity by a third.
Leeds-Bradford has just been reconnected with London after Flybe announced it is to start a route between Gatwick and the north of England airport.
The news comes after BMI axed its route between Leeds-Bradford and Heathrow Airport in March this year.
