Just a year ago, in a joint venture agreement signed between Air France and Delta, a direct flight was launched between Lyon - Saint Exupéry and New York - JFK. Since it was launched, 50,000 passengers have flown on Delta’s Boeing 757-200s that operate on the route five times a week in code share with Air France. The aircraft are fitted with 174 seats including 16 in Business Elite.
Flight times make connections easier
Flight times were designed in such a way that on arrival in New York passengers can connect to most American cities and on arrival in Lyon there are 40 destinations available to France and Europe.
Fares for everybody
There is a wide selection of fares in economy class, with conditions adapted to every type of traveller. To mark the first anniversary of the route, a special €430 fare incl. tax* is available until 16 July 2009, for any trip taken between 23 August and 31 October 2009.
Air France and Delta have developed fares in Business Elite better suited to businesses since they are key players in the route’s future. An attractive fare at €2,627 incl. tax* lets businesses in the French Rhônes-Alpes region have their colleagues travel in the best conditions as far as cabin comfort and services are concerned.

In the cabin leather seats, top quality catering, entertainment and video games
All cabins are fitted with leather seats – with 140 cm of legroom in Business Elite – and individual video screens. The entertainment programme includes a selection of twenty recent movies as well as a dozen video games. In Business Elite, the menus have been designed by chef Michelle Bernstein and the wine list by wine steward Andrea Robinson.
In New York, helicopter transfers to Manhattan
On arrival in New York, passengers have the possibility of a Delta helicopter transfer to Manhattan that takes eight minutes. This service is offered free of charge to passengers travelling in Business Elite. Passengers travelling in Economy class may purchase round trip tickets.
