Release Date: 2009-07-16

More than 33,000 passengers who struggle to navigate Bristol International Airport because of reduced mobility have been helped by a new system.

The airport uses a specialist company that offers a "seamless" service for people with reduced mobility from arrival at the facility to boarding their flight.

One Complete Solution (OCS) provides the service and Marshall Beach, regional operations director for the company, stated that staff will be with passengers for every moment of their time at the airport.

Mr Beach said: "So that we can ensure they get the best possible service, passengers are encouraged to notify their airlines in advance if they require assistance."

The passenger service provider recently said that it uses the latest technology to ensure that its service runs as smoothly as possible and its portfolio of equipment includes bar-coded wheelchairs that can be located at anytime.
