Cooperation extends services to warehouse handling, consulting, and security training
Lufthansa Cargo and Covenant Aviation Security have signed a teaming agreement which allows Lufthansa Cargo to offer even more sophisticated security measures in order to protect its clients‘ freight and ensure smooth business. In partnership with Covenant Aviation Security - one of the world‘s leading private security agencies - Lufthansa Cargo is able to provide perspective clients an array of new services and expansion of existing services - including warehouse handling, consulting, security and dangerous goods training, process engineering, and cargo-specific physical security. Furthermore, this agreement enables both parties to provide any requirements of the Certified Cargo Screening Program undertaken by the Transportation Security Administration. This program implements those portions of the US Congressional Mandate 9/11 Commission Act requiring a system to screen 100 percent of air cargo transported on passenger aircraft by August 2010.

The teaming agreement has commenced on July 1st and will serve the United States and its territories.
