Several new routes flying out of Stansted Airport have been launched.
The London travel hub is offering services to Pakistan via Dubai as part of its new long-haul programme.
AirAsia routes to Islamabad and Karachi have also begun operating.
Nick Barton, commercial and development director at BAA Stansted, revealed that the airport is embracing cultural and business opportunities through new links to these areas, as well as flights to Kuala Lumpur and Jersey.
He added that these latest offerings show the confidence that airlines have in Stansted.
Mr Barton went on to say that the airport is pleased to welcome these routes alongside those to popular summer destinations such as France and Croatia.
In related news, earlier this week Monarch launched a new service which runs from Birmingham International to Cyprus twice a week.
Departures from the West Midlands travel facility to Larnaca will taker place each Wednesday and Sunday.
